And the Mom's Day Special is........

We thunk, thunk and thunk some more about a Mom's Day Special.  We asked our customers and employees.  Here is what they came up with:

One of our absolutely adorable kid customers said his Mom would want some Tannerite Eggs or Disks.   They are smaller, more colorful containers and are 22 rifle friendly.  KABOOM! The small versions are $2.50 each or $5.00 for two.  The young man knows Mom would really like the big containers, however he is on a budget.  Saving for college you know.  He felt this would be a good family outing after Dad takes everyone to dinner.

So, Adam said his Mom would really love a DPMS AR10. Brand new.  Just got in.   Larry is not here so we cannot guarantee a price.  On Gunbroker they seem to be
running anywhere from $1,700 to $3,000.  Larry probably has it fully loaded so aim for the upper price.  If the full firearm is too expensive, you can start purchasing it by the piece.  A mag is around $36.00.  A lower parts kit is around $150.  In about 10 or 20  Mother's Days you will have all the pieces collected and paid for.  We will help Mom put them all together.

Leo says his Mom wants a Tommy Gun.  This wonderful Mom's gift requires a Class III license.  Mom won't get to take home her "Little
Tommy" until the Feds collect a whopping tax and complete the 3,567,888,543 pages of paperwork.  We suggest this only for young mom's who might live long enough for that process to be complete.

Saturday is our Kids Competition.  The safety meeting is at 2:45.  Hammer down at 3 p.m.  It is $10 a kid.  You can bring your own ammo or purchase it from us.  Competitors need to have 50 rounds.  They must also bring a well behaved adult.  Adults will be coaches.  The kids design the stages and run the match.

Saturday, in fact all Saturdays in May, are Date Nights 4 pm to 7 pm.  Bring a date and she/he gets
in free.  Great way to find out if your lovely date is the right person for you.  You may bring only one date each Saturday night, not one date each hour.  That gives you four chances to find that right someone. If you can't find the right one by the end of May, let us know and we will extend Date Nights or recommend a good barber.

Saturday the RGV Shooters have a 3Gun Match.  Note:  Matches are usually Sunday but we moved it because of Mom's Day.  Safety meeting 9:45 am.  Hammer down 10 am.  Visit their website for more details.
